Thank you for being a friend

This is Friend. We first met him after an internet session at Iguazu. He approached me on the street with a slice missing from his side, a gammy eye and doing a weird gurning of the chops (I think he was just smiling) and followed us all the way back to our hostel. The next night, after Duncan had spat a chunk of steak in to his pocket at a fancy-pants restaurant (where are your manners babe?) who was waiting for us at our hostel door? Friend! Duncan gave him the spat out piece of meat and I have never seen anything like it. Friend literally span in a circle with glee. Round and round. Then he slid down on his front paws and growled a thank you. I swear it. Anyways, after our 2 days at Iguazu we were leaving with our bags and who randomly came to see us off at the bus station? You´ve guessed it. Friend! He was pretty spesh and out of all the street dogs we´ve met - even the clothed ones in Bolivia and the shoe-wearing ones in Brazil - he was naked and the best.
